We arrived safely to Guayaquil, Ecuador with no glitches! Well...I would say lack of sleep was the only problem. Brady wired most of the airplane ride. Probably the last time I do an overnight flight with Brady. Stephen slept great with the help of sleeping aids!

We're just getting acclimated today. Brady slept 12 hours last night and is sleeping again now. We leave to Loja tomorrow at 7:30 am. It will take us the whole day, 8 hours driving time, to go through the mountains. We'll arrive back on Tuesday.
It is so good to see family! I stayed home with Stephanie and the kids while Stephen and Titus went into town last night. He says "hola" now. So maybe he'll come back speaking Spanish :) At this point I just wish I could speak fluently like Titus and Stephanie!

Joyce and I can't say how excited we are for you and Stephen to be in Ecuador with Titus and family. Keep Stephen awake during the trip to Loja. There is sooooo much to see along the way. And, if you come back by way of Cuenca, that is a trip of a lifetime. Come down slowly if you want to appreciate the scenery. That alone will take your breath away.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I understood what you meant that Brady was "wired most of the airplaine ride." Was that more than just awake?
We are spending the night in Cuenca and going to the hot springs. Yes, Katie and I are excited about the trip. We will take pictures and post them when we get back.
ReplyDeleteI was in downtown Guayaquil last night with Titus, and an Ecuadorian man thought I was the guy from Starsky and Hutch. I know you haven't seen the movie...so if you are curious then google it.
Adios.
